THE EVENT

Evening in the Garden is Garden Hill Elementary School's largest annual fundraiser.  It is a festive affair that both celebrates and showcases our vibrant community: fantastic food from some of Atlanta’s most popular restaurants, wonderful wines, a silent and live auction featuring local goods and services, and a chance for neighbors to meet and catch up.  

While being such a fun community event, it is very important to us since Evening in the Garden virtually raises the entire budget for the school's arts programming.  The funds raised last year allowed the students to experience and participate in the drama of Shakespeare’s The Tempest as interpreted by Georgia Shakespeare. The students have also been able to enjoy a Young Audiences program and a partnership with the Alliance Theatre. In addition, the school developed a new partnership this year with The Atlanta Opera (TAO) who will bring its professionally produced opera, The Ugly Duckling, to the Garden Hills’ campus in March.
